Mission, Vision & Philosophy
The mission of the Paradise Honors High School's Counseling department is to advocate for all learners by creating equitable, rigorous educational opportunities that will develop their knowledge and skills necessary for college and career readiness, while supporting their personal and social growth.
Through collaboration with our stakeholders and providing a data-driven school counseling program that follows the standards of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), all students -- regardless of their race, ethnicity, ability, gender, socioeconomic status, or sexual orientation -- will develop their abilities to recognize and respect different perspectives, communicate, self-advocate, make connections with others, think critically, take on challenges and become self-directed, engaged learners. It is our goal to help students develop resiliency, ability to cope, and to be successful throughout their lives.
