Welcome Back, PHHS! 2022-2023 SY Information

Dear PHHS Parents and Guardians,

The 2022-2023 school year is right around the corner. We are so excited to welcome our Panthers back to campus. Below you will find some important information to start the year off.

Orientation:

At orientation, there will be an optional Parent Meet and Greet with counseling in the foyer of the auditorium at 9 AM for parents of 9th graders and new students. Parents may choose to shadow their students for the student activities to follow. The student activities are centered around students building connections with their peers and acclimating to the campus. We encourage families to attend Curriculum Night on August 17th.

**Student schedules will go live in PowerSchool on July 28th. Students will receive a hard copy of their schedule at orientation.

Curriculum Night:

During curriculum night, families will have the opportunity to walk their student’s schedules and gain some insight into what instructors will teach in each class. This is just a glimpse of what it means to be a Panther and how classes are structured to prepare students for career, college, and life.

POWERSCHOOL Login:

Your student will receive a letter with PowerSchool access information at Orientation on July 28th. Please read it carefully as you will need these instructions to create parent AND student accounts (if you haven’t already) in order to gain access to grades, schedules, etc.  If you have already created a single sign-on parent portal for your student(s), you do not need to complete this process again. You may, however, use the student information in the letter to add new student(s) to your parent portal. If you have questions, please contact Michelle Reynolds, Counseling Administrative Assistant, at [email protected] .

PHHS Site Council for 22-23’:

The Paradise Honors High School Site Council is composed of four students, three parents, three teachers, one community member, and one non-certified employee. The term of office is one year. The Site Council serves as an advisory group to the Administration and Governing Council.

At the beginning of the year, an email will be sent out to families, students, and staff to nominate members for Site Council. We respectfully request you nominate yourself or other individuals, with their consent, who would be willing to serve our school community. If you have questions regarding Site Council, please contact Mrs. Clemmer at [email protected]
