School-aged children may qualify for services and protections under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act if they are living in any of the following situations:

- In a shelter, motel, vehicle, or campground
- On the street
- In an abandoned building, trailer, or other inadequate accommodations
- Doubled up with friends or relatives because they cannot find or afford housing

If you believe a student or family may be eligible under the McKinney-Vento Act, please have them complete the Student Residency Questionnaire available in their child's school office or contact me directly, Heidi Lindemann at 623-455-7490, for additional information or assistance.
