It is an expectation that if a student is failing or at risk of failing, the teacher is reaching out by phone to the student’s parent/guardian. An email is also an acceptable form of communication if/when a teacher is unable to speak with a parent/guardian. We do ask our teachers to internally document when they have reached out to families. This allows us to show a pattern of communication and establishes a timeline for how the teacher has offered support through Prowler Hour and tutoring.

Concerns with Academic Progress. If there is a concern regarding the student’s progress or grade in the course, the first step of communication should begin with the student contacting the teacher. This can occur in person or via email. If there is no resolution, the next step is that the parent/guardian contact the teacher. Teacher contact information can be found on our website. Go to Student Life> Teacher Contacts. If a plan or process can not be agreed upon, the final step would be that the teacher, student, and family to meet in person to discuss the circumstances with the administration.

Power School Access. Students and families may access Power School through a web browser or by downloading the Power School App in the Google Play or Apple App Store. You will need the following PS Mobile App District Code: XDNB. If a student, parent, or guardian has questions about accessing the student PowerSchool portal, please contact Counseling Administrative Assistant Michelle Reynolds at [email protected]

We look forward to celebrating all that our students have accomplished!
