Dear Paradise Students & Families,
Spring is upon us and we are looking forward to celebrating our students as the year nears its end. This letter is to inform you of two learning opportunities we are providing 11th and 12th-grade students. This is the second year Paradise Honors high school has hosted these events to coincide with Prom on April 21st. Both events are brought together with coordination from School Resource Officer Sean King, the Surprise Police Department, Surprise Fire Department, Banner Hospital, and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
On Friday, April 14th, Juniors are scheduled for the Safety Town Assembly hosted by Banner Hospital. Students will engage in a short presentation on distracted driving and then move through stations to simulate experiences like texting and driving and driving under the influence.

On Thursday, April 20th, Paradise Honors High School will host a Mock Crash Assembly for Seniors. This assembly will be held in the auditorium from 8:30-10 AM. A mock crash event aims to reduce crashes, injuries, and deaths involving younger drivers and their passengers by using visuals to demonstrate real-life consequences. The audience should consider the sensitivity of the content of this presentation, including the crashed cars, actors, audio, and personal experiences shared by the guest speakers. The Paradise Honors High School counseling team will be on-site for students. If a student needs to remove or excuse themselves from this event, they can reach out directly to their counselor for support and a location.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Officer Sean King at [email protected].
Sincerely,
Paradise Honors Leadership
