Dear Paradise Families,
Paradise Schools is committed to the safety and education of all our students. This letter is to inform you of an incident that occurred on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. It was reported that a student had a weapon on our high school campus.
As a result, Paradise Leadership began immediate steps to locate this student, notify Surprise Police Department, and lockdown both our high school and middle school campuses. Surprise Police Department located the student and it was determined that the student did not have any weapons on campus.
Paradise Schools holds student and staff safety as our number one priority, and all of our staff handles every potential threat as serious. We are very proud of how our students and staff responded to this incident. In addition, we would like to thank our staff members who followed our procedures exactly as practiced and Surprise Police Department for their collaboration and swift response.
In closing, we thank you for trusting us with your children and assisting us in keeping our school community safe.
